3051 1999-09-30 23:55:00 I need to disseminate information to a group of internet users using files that incorporate graphics and retain the layout and settings of the original. These docs are presently authored using Word and pdf files but not everyone can read Acrobat or quickly and conveneiently successfully download and install it.

I wish to avoid using enhanced html email as many mail clients seem to handle this with difficulty being configured primarily for text. I would rather send attachments that can be viewed with whatever is appropriate to the recipient, inline in their mail package or in a browser.

There are progs that do this but they seem to try to achieve much more multimedia functionality and add their own browser tool and 350kb or so of overhead to each msg. They also generate executables which I would rather not send by email and thus avoid virus concerns.

I gather I need to create compound html files so that any graphics are bundled/embedded with the html into one file. Any pointers as to how to approach this or references to where this can be researched gratefully received.
