3038 1999-09-29 02:37:00 In septembers PC World page 124 they reviewed the Athlon @ Pentium III in terms of Auto cad. We are trying to sort out Specs for a specialist PC dedicated to running our CAD programme (Caddsman)as fast as possible. No one we have talked to can give us consistent advice on what specs the PC should have to make it fly. Can you help or put us on to someone who can.
Seem that you can put together a series of specs on the best of everything but no one manufacturer produces such a beast. For example will a SCSI hard drive speed up CAD ? How much RAM, and what sort, is enough ? Is Pentium III or Athlon the way to go. Our program is a 3 D Modeller from which we produce AVI files and drawings. Just what is a dream machine for CAD?

Hope you can help
