I have been connected to ihug for about 6 months and have many problems holding a connection. I'm running a 56k modem through a 400 k6/2 machine. No problem getting the actual connection but I would estimate 10 mins is about the longest I seem to be able to hold the connection. It is extremely frustrating trying to download even 2 meg files from the net. The download starts ok at say 3.4k/sec (I can regularly connect at 46k) but gets slower and slower (down to 0.3/sec) where it generally stalls or I lose the connection. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks |
