| 3093 | 1999-10-03 14:59:00 | I'm running Win98 on a PII system with 64 Mb RAM. I've got a problem with explorer crashing after around 2-3 minutes of inactivity (no mousing or typing). After re-starting Explorer everything carries on as per usual, except all of my tray icons are missing. The following is typical of the fault messages: EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0257:bff7b9e6. Registers: EAX=7fc69e61 CS=0257 EIP=bff7b9e6 EFLGS=00010202 EBX=005fffbc SS=025f ESP=005c0000 EBP=005c0024 ECX=005c1df8 DS=025f ESI=00000001 FS=2b47 EDX=00000001 ES=025f EDI=81625808 GS=0000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 56 57 89 65 e8 75 04 33 c0 eb 54 85 c0 74 4b c7 Stack dump: 005fffbc 7fc69e61 00000001 005fffbc 7fc69e61 005c1df8 bffbfe14 bff79250 ffffffff 005c1e08 bff7ce14 7fc69e61 00000001 7fc63046 7fc69e61 005c1e30 More often then not it's a fault in KERNEL32.DLL, though a couple of the more recent one's have been with WEBCHECK.DLL. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. |
