3130 1999-10-09 05:28:00 After playing an audio CD on my PC General PC, the CDrom was not available the next time the PC was booted up.

The CDrom is an 8x IMES. There is no reference to the CDrom in either the config.sys or the autoexec.bat or device manager. I tried the 'Install new hardware' option, but Windows doesn't detect anything. I am unsure as to how I should load the drivers, as no documentation came with the CDrom. I do have a file called imes_cd.sys on disk but don't quite know where this should be loaded. I have checked in Dos and the d drive is an 'invalid drive specification.

As the vendor has gone bust & I have had no luck with getting a response from the manufacturer, I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks
