| 3122 | 1999-10-07 13:24:00 | I just added two 32mb Simms to my two 8mb ones bringing my P-166 a little more up to speed. The problem is that while all 80megs are shown at the bios start-up, it then says 'memory test fail', prompting me to check the bios setings or press F1 to continue. After checking and resaving several diffent settings, I can't get rid of the '..fail'. Win98 seems to have no poblem with the new memory and works at impressive speed compared to my previous 16megs. Do I really have a problem? And if not, how can I get rid off the F1 prompt at start-up? Thanking you in advance, John. |
