3205 1999-10-17 07:20:00 Hi,
I have arriving soon a new computer which has a Pentium III chip. I value my privacy highly and do not like the idea of anyone at all being able to access any information at all from my PC, especially Microsoft! Somewhere in PC World I recall reading that the PSN can be turned off but do you think I can now find the article? My queries:-
1. Can PSN be turned on/off easily ( I need things simple).
2. If it is turned off, would this for example stop installed software from running ( eg Win 98, Word etc)
3. Does turning of the PSN then restrict access to certain sites ( as in refusal to accept cookies stopping access to Microsoft for example).
4. Does turning off PSN guarantee that my PC is safe from prying eyes?

Your help with my queries would be very much appreciated.
Regards, Ron
