About 6 months ago I installed (and registered) Wingate on our school network (peer-peer, win98, dynamic ip alloc). Everything was fine for a long time, untill I installed IE5 on the Wingate Server machine. Even after extensive de/reinstallations of WG and installation of IE5 on all machines, they simply won't talk to the Server when it is given the fixed IP address. I have been in contact with Dencom (WG agents), and they are at a loss. Is there anyone out there who has had problems with WinGate? Should I simply upgrade to Win98SE? Will I be able to share the modem simultaneously across the network? Thanks in advance. |
