3267 1999-10-27 02:52:00 A number of my clients have machines that are not Y2K compliant, but are only used for the most basic of tasks. As such the easiest solution is to change the date back to well before 2000, and let the machines continue running, unaware of any problem.

I have had mentioned to me that a using a certain year will at least ensure that the days of the week will match with the date e.g. making sure the 1st of January is still a Saturday, even thought the year is not 2000. The correct year will also line up leap years etc. Hope you can help.
