3363 1999-11-08 10:23:00 I have a gateway g6 pc only a few months old when I added an older hard drive a fujitsu m1636tau 1.2 GB which is about 2 years old. This HDD was working fine on the old pc but now when a large number of files are added to it they gradually become more and more corrupted. Running scandisk produces an error saying one or more back up copies of the FAT are not the same, the more you fix it the worse it gets. I have tried various settings in the BIOS from auto to most combo's of manual settings although the BIOS does not allow track/head etc settings.
Do I have a faulty HDD or is there another solution.
