3344 1999-11-05 02:18:00 I work on a document (say Report 01)over a period of days doing all the things you use a WP for. Each time I work on the file the size increases (because the document is getting bigger). The file size grows to say 500 kB. Now the interesting bit. Every so often I save the document as Report 02 and the file size deceases dramatically, about half the size is typical. Report 02 is no different from Report 01. In fact what I then do is save Report 02 as Report 01 and continue using Report 01. Why does this reduction happen and is there any way of reducing the size without having to create Report 02. The size reduction is very useful especially for E mail attachments and also being able to fit larger files on a 1.44 MB 'floppy'. Guest (0)
