| 3386 | 1999-11-10 22:21:00 | Hi. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this situation. I have a v.90 modem and I am connected to Xtra but I only connect at exactly 36000 everytime. Nothing more, nothing less. ON the xtra help newsgroup, someone was helping me but then he just stoped for some reason. But he did say I should be getting over that from where I live. (Carterton). I looked at my modem log and I found this: Interpreted response: Informative Recv: CONNECT 33600 Interpreted response: Connect Connection established at 33600bps. Error-control off or unknown. Data compression off or unknown. This probebly has something to do with it. I am using Win98 SE, if that makes a difference. Thhanks for any help. Chris |
