1236949 2011-10-12 00:49:00 I have tried several free downloaders which complete the basic function well. However, I am looking for one which will permit me to save the download, possibly with a view to putting several music downloads on to a CD or DVD. Any recommendations? Scouse (83)
1236950 2011-10-12 00:54:00 JDownloader is arguably the best downloader out there. It would also allow you to download music/soundtrack only from videos.

As for putting them on CDs, Windows will have this functionality... Just copy and paste.

1236951 2011-10-12 00:58:00 I use downloadhelper with firefox, works a charm. There are others that work as well or better too - I think Wainui uses one called SoThink?

If you don't use firefox, it's worth using it, as it makes this type of thing a lot easier. :2cents:

1236952 2011-10-12 01:04:00 Can also use online down loaders/extractors. If for example if you only want to download the music as an mp3 from youtube there are many online extraction sites, e.g. youtube to mp3, vid to mp3, etc. kahawai chaser (3545)

1236955 2011-10-12 01:57:00 Basically if you take your URL "www.youtube.com?123534563" and replace the "www." part with "save", then you get "saveyoutube.com which is all java-based within the browser. Works a treat :)

The legalities around downloading / saving specific copyright-protected videos however, is another matter altogether...

You would trust that?
