Thread ID: 121087 2011-10-11 04:58:00 I wonder whether i should go get my package... Question (15792) PC World Chat

1236736 2011-10-11 04:58:00 I received a card to collect from NZ post on saturday. My package is apparently at a delivery center...7km away with no direct public transport. I estimate transport fees will cost about $10 for a round trip and take about 3 hours. They won't even tell me who sent the package or where it was sent from, so i have no idea what it is. I'm guessing that its the new belt i got from ebay, but the strange part is that the name on the card to collect isnt the name i have listed on ebay. Infact, its not the name i use at all...its a butchered form of my chinese name, and i have never used it in NZ.

At this point im leaning towards just telling NZ post to return to sender because it costs way too much to go find out what it is. Thoughts?

1236737 2011-10-11 05:09:00 How often are you "going that Way" --- if you go every so often collect it then. wainuitech (129)
1236738 2011-10-11 05:11:00 I suggest you phone up and get them to resend the parcel.

Be sure you are at home when it arrives.

1236739 2011-10-11 05:15:00 NZ Post may have butchered your name, so it could well be for you. Have you any relatives you could call or email to check?

Three hours sounds like a lot of time for a 14km round trip though, can you not hitch a ride with a neighbour or friend, or borrow a bicycle? A 14km ride is nothing on a bike, it may be something nice for you, and there is no hurry to pick it up so why not just get to it when you can.

Cheers

They have it at a delivery center somewhere in Mt Wellington. Completely out of the way.
