| 1236856 | 2011-10-12 14:19:00 | I've just found a far older one. pressf1.pcworld.co.nz My semi-accidental discovery that the forum was vulnerable to HTML injection (aka XSS). The Google logo was actually displayed in the thread title (as intended). Of course I am aware that the HTML is wrong (resulting in HTML and BODY tags within the body of the page...), but it did work, and in my defence I was 11 at the time! Additionally, HTML in posts at the time was fed to the browser without encoding. So, the first time I made it, instead of the code as intended, my post just had a Google box in it! Embarrassingly, I seem to have created that thread four times to get it just right, to the annoyance of many forum members... I'm starting to wonder how far back I go... |
