Requiescat in pace has become a colloquially accepted form of farewell to the departed, no matter what their creed, no matter whether Catholic or Buddhist. Hate him or love him, his was a major contribution to our world, his was not a nice passing, and he also leaves behind a grieving family. RIP, Steve. |
