1236662 2011-10-11 00:58:00 What does DNA stand for "National Dyslexia Association!"Not sure where you spotted that, but given the context I assume you mean NDA - that acronym normally stands for Non-Disclosure Agreement. Erayd (23)
1236663 2011-10-11 01:12:00 We live on two large islands with overseas ports everwhere. I find it hard to understand that there is no "Immediate" plan prepared for such an occasion as this. Head in the sand perhaps? Can't happen here? PJ Poppa John (284)
1236664 2011-10-11 01:17:00 Dyslexia is an anagram of daily sex. Or is it the other way round?? Richard (739)

1236666 2011-10-11 03:03:00 Yes. And the ship nearly hit an oil tanker here from what I am told.

1236668 2011-10-11 18:22:00 There is going to be quite a few questions that are going to have answered about the grounding

Mine would be

1-Have Maritime NZ been doing their job,compliance/inspections as they supposed too?

2-Have Maritime NZ also been lent on not to ruffle shipping companies leading to the cessation of certain companies leaving NZ out of the loop?

3-Was the ship late and trying to make up time not to incur Port late Fee's?

4-How defiant was the Navigation systems on board both hardware/human?

5 Could the start of the cleanup been started any quicker?

Many more questions could be added

1236669 2011-10-11 18:49:00 More to the point why did the Australians let it go when it was impounded over there, and should the world be rid of ships being able to register under a flag of convenience in countries that have virtually no rules?

It is the bigger harder questions that need to be answered and not put into the too hard basket

1236671 2011-10-11 22:02:00 They ran the thing into a reef, even the most sea worthy vessel is going to have issues with that. Alex B (15479)
