1236019 2011-10-15 18:55:00 Clearly you weren’t aware of a change of plan.

Yesterday we erected three Painters Platforms and after Church this morning we’ll be starting a repaint and spruce up. We may even bog a few cracks as we go.

Some fool is running around wanting to pump some dirty sticky black oil and ruin our paint job but we’ll deal with him.

We’ve got a loud speaker system that squawks “Safety is Paramount… Safety is Paramount”, continuously, so that should stop him.

However, we’ll all be stopping work if we can locate a container of Wine believed to be hidden somewhere.

There is no hurry. After all, it’s nearly a year and nothing has been achieved at Pike River so there’s plenty of time still.

Whooops, may be no painting today, just heard some problem between Ireland and Wales? Something about an Irish Referee hanging one on Wales. Dahhhh, always something to interrupt progress.

1236020 2011-10-15 19:56:00 Why couldn't they have put the booms in close to beach.

Does anybody think there is a an obsession here?

Is this what you want Cicero?

Not a lot of good in the surf but would have contained all the oil from the early spills while the sea was flat calm. ;)

1236022 2011-10-15 21:32:00 A haka on the threatened beaches might do the trick - or to reward Cicero for his patient efforts, perhaps an Irish referee could lower the boom? R2x1 (4628)
1236023 2011-10-15 21:34:00 Well, when the weather started to cut up rough they could have got in touch with the local Buddhist community to see if they could effect some karma waters. :groan: tuiruru (12277)

I always knew B.M. was a good bloke, and not an anchor in sight.

And quite right K9 why couldn't they have brought Clancy into it?

1236025 2011-10-15 22:27:00 Well you’ll all be relieved to know we have action at last.

The sky over my place is full of choppers, unless of course they’re doing a remake of MASH? :D

Are you sure it's not another attempt to protect the kiwifruit?

1236027 2011-10-15 22:44:00 the delay in getting a salvage underway earlier was that the person in charge, the CEO of Maritime NZ, is a charted accountant

Well, the organisation is Maritime NZ, and probably appropriate for its CEO to be a charted accountant.

And the sky darkened by the wings of chickens coming home to roost? :D
