| 1260671 | 2012-02-22 03:14:00 | Friends using a tplink usb wireless adapter that's just conked out on him, he's looking for a solution. I suggested an internal card as opposed to another dongle, since they'll likely give better results for similar or better prices. Anyone got any PCI or PCI E 1x suggestions? (Not sure of his router's standard, it's a vodafone issued wireless, but I'll assume it's at least G) I was thinking something along the lines of this pbtech.co.nz or basically anything here pbtech.co.nz but are there brands to watch out for n such? I've had a few routers that, from new, overheat and crash when heavy traffic hits, don't want to suggest him something that will do the same. cheers all. oh and edit - i know i'm on about routers but i'm after a wireless card but as i say want one that won't overheat like my routers, was what i meant. |
