| 3452 | 1999-11-19 05:47:00 | I am a beginner to computing and I am finding it facinating, as we only had slide rules when I was at school. But I do say I have learnt alot since I bought my computer. I have a 486 Dx4 100 Dell computer, with Windows 3.1 operating system. I would like to know When I start Windows (from Dos, via a menu program) I want to be able to go straight to Excel without having to click on the Excel icon in Program manager. How is this done is there two ways to do this. Also when I changed my Windows Program Manager screen layout to the way I wanted it but when I closed and restarted Windows it went back to the old layout. Is there a couple of ways of solving this. This might get a few rusty cogs turning as I know that this an old system but new to me. I would appreciate some help very much so. Thankyou for your time. Bob |
