| 3506 | 1999-11-30 06:55:00 | A few months ago I posted a message on this forum regarding Outlook 98 and asking if it was possible to include the 'Send To' choice to the local menu when right clicking a downloaded attachment. This is achievable in Windows explorer but not it would seem in Outlook. Anyway my message went unanswered. If it were possible, it would have been a simple matter to send an attachment to a virus checker. At present (for me, that is) the only way to check an attachment is to use 'Save As' somewhere, then open Win Explorer, navigate to the saved file and then check it. I've since found a quicker way for those who are interested. Create a new folder in the root directory and place a short cut to it on the desktop. When you need to check an attachment, simply drag and drop it on the new folder. Open the folder, right click and choose Send To/(your virus checker). To include a virus checker on the Send To menu follow this. Open your Antivirus program's folder and copy the program file, ie Navw32.exe. Navigate your way to the Windows folder and paste the copy in the Send to folder. This will create a shortcut to it. When you right click any file in Explorer you will now see your virus checker in the cascading Send To menu. Should work in Win 95 and 98. Colin C |
