3565 1999-12-06 08:44:00 Hi,

Just recently (about 3-4 weeks), my Win98 just gone crazy. Random crashes, registry problems, etc. Ok, Win9X not perfect, but it was not like this before, and there are no major changes that I did.

Then, last weekend I finally told myself, let's make a clean start, reformat the hard drive, etc. And I start again, install Win98, but wait a minute, the installation saying something about CAB errors. I thought it's the CD that's damaged, but then I try it on my friend's, it's OK. I also tried to copy the 'win98' folder to the harddrive (which works fine, and as suggested by setup.txt), and the same error still exists. Confused, I gave in and installed Win95 instead. Okay, Win95 running, but random crashes appear too ! Maybe not as frequent as in Win98, but still, with bare system just installed, I cannot believe this, and registry problems also exists.

Any insight on any of these ? (and it's not virus, since I always update my DATs).

Thanks.
