| 3564 | 1999-12-05 21:49:00 | I have recently had problems getting my Iomega Zip drive to work. It can read data off the disks, but refuses to write to the disks, saying that they are Protected, and to turn the protection off before writing. This error message occurs with all disks, even new ones. It also says that some disks need to be formatted. So far I have downloaded and installed new software (repeatedy), got a new Zip drive, (I thought the old one may have the click of death, as it was clicking so Iomega gave me a new one, bought new disks, checked the cable connections were secure, all to no avail. Can anyone help in this matter, I have an expensive blue doorstop connected to my computer. BTW I am running a Pentium 100 with Win98. Grateful thanks Gary |
