| 3544 | 1999-12-04 11:30:00 | Hello Juha I hope you can help me out here: on one of my partitions running Win98 all of a sudden I can not send or receive any signal from the Internet. I can dial in all right but then - if I try to get my mail or request a website - the indicator lights of my modem and the display in the taskbar are not showing any work, in the IExplorer the 'cannot display' message pops up and my mail accounts are 'flying through' with error messages telling me I should check my account settings (which of course are perfect and unchanged..) TCP/IP settings all right DUN ok all the usual checks show a good setting. That happens after I installed DUNCE 2.5.2. and FastNet (both properly uninstalled via CleanSweep..) Actually this happened on 2 partitions so far running Win95 and Win98 under different circumstances. Is there a way to fix just the TCP/IP installation?? Reinstallation of IE 5.0 and the other programs using DUN didn't do any good. This is a bit of a mystic problem to me here and I need help to work it out. I have read your article on the TCP Windows settings and guess you are the one to ask!! kind regards Andrew |
