| 3552 | 1999-12-05 05:26:00 | Can anyone shed any light on this problem i'm having with setting up my network card? Ok, I have a PCI network card which when installed in my machine and booted up Win98SE detects correctly as a Realtek RTL8029AS, installs all the drivers etc and asks to re-start. This is when the fun begins. Once it is started back up when I go to connect to the internet it dials and connects no probs but, it will not transfer any data at all. Eudora complains that the host is unreachable, other progs give this message, A network error has ocurred: Address family not supported by protocol family {10047-74} Now, if I remove the network card Win98 is basically a mess, Internet still doesn't work and the only way to recover it all is to restore the registry from a backup. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jeff. |
