I had a word document on a floppy which I took to the library, when I inserted it into the computer and tried to open the document it asked me if I wanted to revert to 'chapter2.doc' (the name of the file). I clicked on yes (big mistake) and was presented with a blank document instead of the four pages of text that had been written. When I asked people about recovering the file most of the answers ended with 'not recoverable'. My questions then are why cant data from floppys be recovered as easily as data on a HDD? and can you get partial recovery at all on a floppy? considering that my original file was much larger then the new one |
