| 3728 | 2000-01-06 22:19:00 | I have just installed a single 64mb DIMM in my computer, but when I start the computer it only counts up to 32mb on the memory count. If however, I restart the Computer when it has already been running it recognises the full 64mb amount. If I leave the computer for more than about 30seconds between restarts it again only counts up to 32mb. (Almost as if the memory needs to warm up?) System Specs:- AMD K6-2 450 Gigabyte GA-5AA m/b ALi Aladdin V Chipset 1x 64mb DIMM (has 'PC 100 64MB 4M*16 SDRAM' written on it) Bios setup program says AmiBios Simple- ver 1.19 I know the DIMM is fine, as it came straight out of my other computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated (surely I'm missing a BIOS setting?) |
