| 3801 | 2000-01-15 02:39:00 | I'm setting up a new Win98 SE machine which contains an ISA SCSI card, two SCSI CD-ROMs, a PCI sound card and a PCI network card. Windows set up OK (eventually) and all the hardware has installed, but the PCI cards just don't work - the network card is configured fine but can't ping anything, and the sound card plays constant repetitious sound snippets which the manual says are indicative of IRQ conflicts. No conflicts show up in the device manager, everything looks fine. After rebooting, uninstalling and reinstalling everything a million times I'm at a loss as to what the problem is. Any ideas? TIA, Carolyn |
