'My computer' or 'explorer' (Win98) will not display a drive D unless D is typed into the address window. The drive can then be browsed normally. I thought this was just a problem with the cd drive and lived with it. I just put in a second hard drive which is now drive d and is not visable. However my cd drive now shows up as e as you would expect. Any ideas? Drive A is a floppy and Drive B is an LS120. All drives are selectale in DOS Mode. Virus scans are negative.
The properties on the disk drive controller shows the drive mapping as d. Installing second edition 98 did nothing so I assume a registry setting might be the culprit. I don't like haystack hunts... |
