| 3868 | 2000-01-25 09:39:00 | Recently, several programs on my system have been taking much longer time to start than usual. I had Dreamweaver 2, and downloaded Dreamweaver 3 trial from the Macromedia site. Yet it's taking absolutely ages for it to load, ie I start it, and 30 seconds pass by before even the loading window appears. I would have suspected this maybe of Dreamweaver 3's larger size, but it's only 2 megs bigger than v.2, and still smaller than Fireworks 2, which loads much more quickly. But what's really annoying is that the same loading time symptons have appeared on another program I use; NeoTrace (IP tracing software) from NeoWorx. Does anyone have an idea as to what's going on? I'm running a Windows 95a system. Thanks in advance to all replies. |
