1237925 2011-10-17 23:43:00 Taxing us to watch TV that's currently free? Whatever, it'll be cheaper to push it over Fibre than it will be to maintain the airwaves.

We used to have a tax for viewing what is now called free air television. It was called a TV licence.

1237927 2011-10-18 03:06:00 Yes, we *previously* had a TV tax... But no more :)

How else would they pay for labours unsustainable spending?

Taxes?

No country has ever taxed itself into prosperity.

I quite agree.

Labour ran a surplus, you could look that up in a dictionary if confused.

1237931 2011-10-18 20:01:00 I quite agree.

Labour ran a surplus, you could look that up in a dictionary if confused.

A country has to be run like a business, If you over-commit yourself during the good times then you will fold in the down turn.

The country is now borrowing billions to service those commitments.

You should thank National, If it were up to Labour we would be the new Greece.

1237932 2011-10-18 20:04:00 Pretty much. Poor Key basically landed a nightmare of a role cleaning up the the crap thanks to Helen and her cronies.

Can't say I agree with a lot of their policies on things, but at least he's done a pretty damn good job of being the clean-up crew.

1237933 2011-10-18 20:08:00 I strongly disagree with many National actions, But they need to be there, doing what they are doing.

There is always a bigger picture.
