We are not so silly here re, being able to help someone in need due to being afraid of legal retribution. I might add, we are silly when it comes to the idea of your home being your castle, quite often hear of the police charging a house holder of using to much force when catching the intruder. |

The Yanks sure have that one sorted. |

You could always pop a cap in your leg and say you wrestled the gun off them.....try not to bleed out too much tho |

Part of the problem I believe is that those in position to deal with these scum can't comprehend the vileness standing in front of them (and what needs to be done, a bullet in the head) and seek to look for a faceless evil to blame it on, in the past you just offloaded it onto the devil, Now its "society to blame" and its everyone elses fault apart from the abuser, Who is now a victim. |

Then say you fired it as a warning shot before killing the crook. No jury in the land except a South Auckland one is going to convict a person for killing a crook in their home after firing a warning shot and the police would know this and not even bother formulating charges. |

That is all true, but for me, the sad part is, when does it end? I for the life of me can't see it happening soon. |
