So saying there is only one form factor is not true. Have another look at the links and you can see the packaging for the iphone(2007) and the samsung phone(2007) from the same year, completely different packaging. Apples packaging even prior to 2007 has always been top notch as far as packaging is concerned. ) |

| 1237558 | 2011-10-15 03:24:00 | "What an uncomfortable moment for Samsung at its court hearing with Apple on Thursday. Fielding questions from U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh, Samsung attorney Kathleen Sullivan was asked if she could distinguish between Apples iPad and Samsungs Galaxy Tab 10.1, which Koh held up for all the court to see. Her reply as first reported by Reuters? Not at this distance, your honor. Not at this distance, your honor. Not the greatest answer in a case in which the defendant stands accused of slavishly copying a rivals designs. More so, since Sullivan was standing just ten feet away from the devices she was asked to identify. Thankfully, one of her colleagues was able to come to her rescue, but only after this plea from Koh. Can any of Samsungs lawyers tell me which one is Samsung and which one is Apple? Not a good day in court for Samsung." |

| 1237560 | 2011-10-15 05:01:00 | What stupidity is this? If you held up a HP laptop and a Toshiba and asked a lawyer to tell you which was which you would get the same end result. Same goes for televisions, DVD players, steel beams, tyres, printers, PC's, keyboards, just about every damn thing. |

| 1237565 | 2011-10-15 23:07:00 | I have always been an 'Apple' user - had a MacBook or iMac for years and loved them. However the iMac finally died after 7 years of solid reliable daily use. The cost of a new one was out of my reach at that point and I opted to go to the dark side and buy a Windows laptop. I would like to get an iPhone but cannot justify the price for what is essentially a phone. If someone can recommend an alternative feel free! The whole iPad thing - well they kind of have to. In a way. It is like firing a warning shot across the bow of a ship. Exercising their "power" does make good business sense if you look at the bigger picture and will help them keep producing innovative products that others rush to copy - the tablet, the touch screen phone, the all in one PC for example! That is not to say what they are doing is 'right or wrong' however in terms of maximising long term future profit, customer elitisms in their products and overall product innovation - it is almost a necessary step. You get what you pay for - in the case of Apple part of the high cost of their products is the elitism of the the product - people will pay a premium for the latest and most innovative devices. Why would you pay X amount for a device when a competitors device looks and responds the same for a lower price (even though in the case of Samsung it is clear even to a blind person they are different). |

When I was in Japan I used an all-in-one PC much like today's iMac, except it ran Windows 2000 and had an LCD screen and a floppy drive. Predates the LCD iMac by at least a year ;) |
