| 3955 | 2000-02-07 22:26:00 | I have a Gateway Pentium III 450 running Win98. Recently, for no apparent reason, the system has become unstable with Blue fatal error screens telling me that a fatal exception OE has occurred at 0028:C15B81BC in VXD MCScan32(01) + 000194BC etc etc Dr Watson tells me that Windows Explorer or one of its DLLs may have overflowed an internal temporary buffer and may need to be reinstalled. I have reinstalled Win 98 over the top of the existing copy but still get the blue screens sometimes at bootup, opening a file or exiting the internet. Any suggestions much appreciated. Thanks |
