| 3988 | 2000-02-10 10:59:00 | Ever since installing a Matrox Millenium G400 32Mb on to a brand new HP Pavilion 8519 (440BX chipset) Win98SE, standby has ceased to work. The system will not return from standby any more. With the new card removed it's fine. (The Pavilion has on-board sound and video.) (May be a red-herring, but hardware acceleration also seems to be a problem with the G400 - it fails the DirectX Test Direct3D hardware acceleration test and hardware acceleration has to be disabled in Windows Media Player to play MPEG video.) Any ideas?! HP and Matrox have not been much help. Thanks. |
