I have a Toshiba Satellite 2590 Notebook running Win98. It has a built in 56K modem and I have recently installed a Xircom Realport 10/100 network card. When connected to a Win98 peer to peer network the incomming data rate seems very slow compared to the other machines on the network. Outgoing speed seems fine. All machines are connected via a Surecom 10Mb hub and the other 5 PC's on the network are fitted with 10Mb PCI NIC's.
Any help would be gratefully recieved. |
