I want to coopy columns of data to adjacent columns in Excel 97 while using a filter. When I highlight the text and use 'copy' it copies the data to the adjacent cell as if there were no filter applied and hence the data goes in the wrong cell. Highlighting the data then 'dragging' it accross seems to work but sometimes, if there are numbers in the data it treats it as a 'series' i.e. a 1 becoomes a 2. What is the preferred method and are there preferences I can set up in the drag option so it doesn't treat the numbers as a 'series?' Cheers John |
