When using Adobe Acrobat to view PDF files on the web My system crashes and I get the message 'HIMEM.SYS has detected unreliabe XMS memory at address 03fe9000 XMS driver not installed'. I push enter to continue and it says 'HIMEM.SYS is missing'. Most of what I've read points to bad RAM,
but could this be a software problem? I'm a bit of a shareware junkie. It has only started happening recently, as has my machine just 'blacking out' and needing to be restarted. I have a P3 500, 13gig HD, 128MB RAM running Win'98. I also have Systemworks 2000 installed. Thanks. |
