| 4051 | 2000-02-20 07:57:00 | HI I have a rather nisy computer (dissapointingly) and I have power saving options set. I have set the monitor to time out at 10mins or so and the hard disk to timeout at 30mins or so. My hardrive does not seem to do anything. i know the noise may just be the cooling fans, but the drive doesnt appear to do anything. i have tried it set at different times (not that it should matter) but still no. I remember i think that you wrote something about power saving features in an earlier pcworld, but i cant find it. Please help me if u can although it is not crucial, and i can live without this. cheers, Karz. |
