| 4089 | 2000-02-26 07:24:00 | I recently ran the performance tune-up part of the programme SiSoft Sandra (shown in PC World) on my system. One of the responses it came back with was the warning: VGA Palette Snooping - this seriously affects performance. Disable it if you don't need it.' I have checked in the BIOS and this feature is already shown as disabled. I am not aware of a setting within windows that can alter this. Is this a problem and how do I stop the VGA palette Snooping? I know this warning came up when I had my old S3 video card but I have since got a Diamond Viper card and it hasn't changed. I have the latest BIOS for the Award BIOS on this system. System specs are: IDT Winchip 2 3D Now; Win98; 64MB RAM; Diamond Viper V550 video card. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Darryl Lennane |
