| 4086 | 2000-02-26 01:42:00 | hello, my compucon pc is a 400 mhz celeron cpu with NLX BX6 motherboard which has win98 installed on it. a few months back, i added 32 mb of sdram to the existing 64 mb. ever since, when i make a cold start it comes up showing 'hardware error'. By pressing enter you are able to bypass the problem and windows always starts and no other error/ problems occurs. But, when you leave it on standby mode after a few hrs of inactivity, and would like to start again , it seems to hang or unable to make the pc go into active mode. so i have to restart by using the reset button I have looked at the bios settings and placed it at the original default setting to no avail. I hope that you have a solution to this problem of mine thanks |
