| 4084 | 2000-02-26 00:14:00 | I have an Acer 486DX2/100 running Windows 95. So many problems were occurring with either Internet Explorer crashing (yes even IE5.01)or Windows Explorer crashing that I decided to reload all the original Win95 files from CD even where that overwrote newer files. (I had very few problems with the original installation) Hiwever as can be imagined this has caused major problems with DLL files mainly that although most of the system is back up and running properly by installing service releases and just about any other Win95 update offered on the net I still have problems with IE5 crashing and Win95 still has the occassional crash. In the course of fixing some of the problems it was suggested to run Regclean which I attempted to do but this hangs when doing the 'Identifying Type Library Identifiers' and regclean@microsoft.com returns my email to me when trying to communicate with them. So... finally my question for this post - is there a program available (or a website) that allows me to check whether I have the most up-to-date DLL's available for Win95 as messages like 'A required resource is missing' have only occurred since I overwrote the newer DLL's installed with various downloads with the original Windows configuration.
