4172	2000-03-07 00:06:00	I have had no end of problems since attempting to download IE 5.0 from Microsofts web site. I believe IE 5.0 is partially installed but since then I suffer system frezes and 'this program has performed an illegal operation...blah,blah,blah on 70% of the occasions I surf the net. An icon called 'Resume Windows Update Installation' has appeared on the desktop which of course doesn't work and can't be deleted. In desparation, following the usual Microsoft brush off, I have turned to the PC World No 8 CD. However I cannot install the browser IE 5.01 from the CD. After some initial set up process a message comes up: 'Set up cannot download files to the folder'F(my CD ROM drive) because the folder is read only. Either change the positions for this folder, or specify a different folder.' There are no further options but to quit the install. OS=Win95. Could any kind respondents please keep their replies simple. Many thanks	Guest (0)
