ive just installed W98& checked control panel/modems/properties,Windows has assigned the modem to com4 with IRQ10.
com1 & com2 are greyed out(unavailable)When i manually remove & install the modem ,i can select com2for it.But when i use dial up connection,Windows says there is no modem installed.How can i free up/enable the com2 port?Ive checked the BIOS settings to make sure the port is not disabled.I have a serial mouse on com1 & a unused 25 pin serial port on com2. |
