4338 2000-03-25 09:21:00 I have a new Quantum LCT10 15GB Hard Drive. I first tried to install it as the slave, so I could copy data from my current master drive, which is to be replaced. The new drive is recognized in the BIOS, but when W98 SE finished booting, it is no where to be seen. I have a Seagate 1.2GB drive as slave usually, and never have had any problems. All jumpers are in the correct position. Is there a setting in Windows that needs to be changed? Or do I have a defective drive? Booting to DOS doesn't help; the new drive is still not recognized. The packaging of the new drive indicates that it comes pre-loaded with various software, so I assume the drive is already formatted. Guest (0)
