| 4336 | 2000-03-25 09:04:00 | I use Pegasus as an email client and IE 5 as my browser. Hardware is a HP Vectra P2 266, 32 Ram with a 56K internal modem Recently I downloaded and installed Netsonic 3000 to see what, if any, speed benefits it brought. After instalation I noticed that whenever I had both IE and Pegasus running and I attempted to send a message from Pegasus, I would regularly get an error message stating: Winpm 32 caused an invalid page fault in module wsock32.dll The mail message was not sent but placed in the queue I would then close Pegasus, reopen it and send the queued message. The problem did not occur so frequently if I first closed IE. I have now uninstalled Netsonic and the frequency of the problem has reduced significantly. However, I still have the odd occasion when the problem occurs. Again when both IE and Pegasus are open Appreciate any guidance on what maybe happening here and how I can correct it. I do defrag the c drive, which is where the programmes are installed, regularly |
