I want to replace my antique 486 with a faster PC so I can add a CD writer, mainly for writing audio CDs. PCs with AMDK6/2 processors are significantly cheaper but a comment on an internet posting on CD writers said that AMD processors are 'not recommended' for CD audio writing. However I can't find any technical information that explains why (if in fact true). AMD's tech support answer service have been unable to confirm or deny yet. I've not seen a PC with AMDK6/2 processors bundled with a CD writer (which makes me wonder). |
