Companies often have a few rogue employees using the co internet for pirating . or company laptop with P2P software(used at home) installed & auto running will have implications when connected to companies network. Management might assume that IT are taking care of all of this, without specifically be asked to . They could argue that IT should warn management of implications of P2P on company networks, and suggest 'fixes'. Some Hardware(& software ?) Firewalls can use packet sniffing to block P2P . This needs to be bought , setup/configured . |
