1262278 2012-03-01 01:59:00 I think that is a little low.
I shouldn't do make an offer, never works.

How does $250 sound? It was not a cheap card and that is well below half.

1262279 2012-03-01 02:16:00 Nope, I can't go that high.

I'm sure you can easily get that for it though, I just value second hand video cards very low.

I've got a decades worth in a draw, each one cost hundreds of dollars, each one is now pretty much worthless. I just cant force myself to throw them away.

Even the one in my PC probably doesn't have a resale value.

1262281 2012-03-01 02:59:00 I've had trouble with both as well, but my old 4850 worked so well and lasted so long it gave me a good overall opinion of ATI.
I have a GTX580 as my gaming card after getting frustrated and abandoning dual GTX460s in SLI because of inconsistent and buggy SLI support in games. I love it, and it's amazingly quiet. I wouldn't have a 590 myself because it's back to SLI even if it is on a single card (or so I believe?). I've gone for the fastest single GPU card that was available at the time.

In my backup machine used for media storage / downloading / and lugging to my monthly LAN club I have an ATI 6770 because it only has a budget PSU and I wanted to be able to game at the LAN (I go once a month to NLANGC), I am quite impressed with it so far for a budget card although I have only tried a few games (WoW, Duke Nukem Forever, Quake3, Blur)

In my media PC I have a fanless ATI 6450 only because the sandybridge graphics wouldn't play nice with my HDMI receiver. Again I'm very impressed with it, seems to offload 99% of video decoding loads for playback, works perfectly with the home theatre HDMI setup for Both audio and Video, and is completely silent.

Yes I have 3 PCs just for me :)

1262282 2012-03-01 20:25:00 Looks like I might have to consider the ATI card.
The GTX 590 is very hard to find right now.
