| 4510 | 2000-04-18 01:29:00 | Is there an easy way to find out aharware specs while in Windows? At the moment, we pull the CPU type & speeds from the start up screen when booting, the amount of RAM from System Properties and to find out motherboard specs we have to open the case and hope the manufacturers have marked it ... Regedit tells me what type of CPU I have, but not the speed ... At any rate, to find out more about hardware specs, I currently turn a machine off, open the case, copy down any info on the m/board, reassemble the box, start it up, hit pause while I copy the processor speeds, finish booting up and then right-click on My Computer to get the System Properties up ... Is there an easier way to do all this while sitting running Windows ... like, a software program I can invest in? Any advice would most appreciated, as I have to do this rigmarole on a regular basis. Thanks, Rosz |
